A place for sacred embodiment

Templa Rana is a sacred medicine church dedicated to somatic healing and inner exploration. Our mission is to honor the Great Spirit and Mother Earth through sacred self-care rituals and ceremonies—assisting our members in reclaiming the peace and embodiment that enables them to thrive. We recognize and celebrate all genders, all bodies, and all abilities; and we acknowledge the many ways marginalized communities are less able to access the self-healing that is our birthright. Trauma lives in each of our bodies, often leaving us disconnected and moving through life in survival mode. Simple self-care practices such as massage and meditation can help us regulate our nervous systems and become more present, yet these tools are often seen as acts of vanity. When we honor self-care as a sacred practice, we transform our approach to health and well-being. Bodywork and meditation become more than just luxuries for relieving stress; they are gateways to greater connection with our bodies and with the Divine.

Bodywork

Bodywork is a time-honored method for relieving physical tension. But this ancient practice is a sacred ritual that facilitates a deeper connection with our inner selves as well. The act of receiving intentional touch can be a form of prayer or meditation. It allows us to become fully present in our bodies, regulating our nervous systems and recognizing the healing energy flowing through us.

kambô

Mother Nature gives us many tools with which to access true healing for ourselves. Her messenger the frog brings us Kambô—an ancestral medicine from the Amazon revered for its ability to help us purge negative energy, improve our resolve and overall health, and emerge reinvigorated and ready to serve the greater good.
