The temple
Templa Rana (Latin for ‘temple of the frog’) is nestled in a serene, natural backyard setting in East Austin. Our sanctuary is blessed by the sights and sounds of an ancient spring-fed pond—you will see an array of beautiful birds such as red-shouldered hawks, great blue herons and egrets; and in the evenings, the air comes alive with a chorus of song from the many frogs and toads in our midst. This stunning little slice of urban Nature is our temple, gifting us a perfect space for healing and connection with The Great Mother.
At Templa Rana we are committed to caring for this precious land and water, and to being a place of peace and communion for generations to come. We offer bodywork rituals and ceremonies inside our cozy studio but also outdoors whenever possible. There we also offer meditation circles by the fountain or the fire, as well as the opportunity to soak in the hot tub and enjoy an outdoor shower. We reconnect with the natural world and open ourselves to profound spiritual experiences through our sacred practices. In this way, self-care becomes a path to deeper understanding, healing, and Divine communion. Most of our offerings are available to members only; we invite you to join us here!
Meet the Minister
Casey is many things—a proud mother, an ordained minister, an artist. They are also a full-spectrum doula, having accompanied many brave souls on their journeys through pregnancy and birth, the termination of a pregnancy, the care and feeding of babies, and the loss of loved ones. After over 15 years of experience in holistic wellness and somatic healing, massage therapy was a natural next step. A graduate of the prestigious Lauterstein-Conway Massage School, they now offer a constellation of therapeutic massage modalities grounded in a ceremonial framework. Casey’s massage is soothing, deep, and slow, with a nurturing, intuitive flow. Their intention is for every being on the table to drop deeply into a parasympathetic state where true presence, rest, and healing can transpire.
Casey is also a survivor, and has found great healing of ancestral wounds and her own lived trauma through body-based modalities such as massage therapy, Kambô, and plant medicines. Their lifelong relationship with the sacred mushroom is, in fact, a remembrance of ancient rituals within her lineage that continue to connect her to the infinite. She is called by Spirit to make these tools for somatic healing more accessible to all who seek. Casey created Templa Rana to bring all bodies and their spirits back into connection and balance.
Templa Rana is a gender affirming, shadow-inclusive, interfaith spiritual center that stands for collective liberation. Self-care is a sacred pathway to reaching our highest potential, and Casey is honored to meet fellow travelers finding themselves at Templa Rana.
Land acknowledgement
Templa Rana is situated on the ancestral lands of the Caddo, Coahuiltecan, Comanche, Kickapoo, Lipan Apache, and Tonkawa peoples, among many others. We honor and offer gratitude to past and present generations of Indigenous Peoples who have cared for this land we now call Austin, Texas, and we stand opposed to ongoing injustices against Indigenous Peoples and Native lands worldwide. May our Mother Earth be exalted, and may all beings be free.
